"I empathise with people to understand their pain points and represent their voice throughout the design process."

My role at Foolproof involves planning and conducting research with users to understand their needs. These insights are then used to collaboratively inform the design of digital experiences.

I empathise with people to understand their pain points and represent their voice throughout the design process. Being the person in between a business and end-user is a lot of responsibility, but it’s a responsibility I  value and harness to create better products/services which are usable for all.

My interest in UX stems from my degree in Ergonomics where I learned about the importance of designing inclusive products - both physical and digital. I worked on a variety of projects, from designing alarm clocks for people with dementia to investigating why train drivers go through red lights. I am naturally inquisitive and my biggest interest is the psychology of why people behave or interact a certain way.

I started my career in a graduate UX role at an agency in Bristol where I put my learnings into practice and I haven’t looked back since. During my first 5 years in the industry, I have worked with charities, government organisations, energy companies and I have even had my name in the Design Museum.

Just before joining Foolproof, I was a UX Architect across specialist interest magazine titles, including BBC Good Food, working in an agile environment from discovery to implementation to design the best digital experiences.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling and exploring new areas, drinking rose (preferably in a sunny pub garden), hunting out the best burger in London, and practicing my serve on the tennis court..
