As a Senior Designer at Foolproof, my role revolves around simplifying complex tasks and journeys whilst keeping the user at the heart of every decision I make.
Day-to-day, my work varies. It’s dependent on which project sprint I’m on, but I’m happiest when scribbling on whiteboards, sticking up post-it notes or solutionising.
Before transitioning to Digital and Experience design, I studied Design for Publishing at Norwich University of the Arts. This is where I gained valuable knowledge about layout, grid systems and typography; all fundamental components of the design work we do.
I am especially passionate about typography and ensuring all text is readable, accessible and above all else - usable.
It’s at Foolproof that I pool the knowledge obtained through my degree and previous experience working in the visual design field.
Foolproof enables me to constantly expand my skills by learning from fellow Foolproofers and observing our regular user research sessions.
In fact, this Kanye West quote perfectly summarises my position on growth: “I’m not comfortable with comfort. I’m only comfortable when I’m in a place where I’m constantly learning and growing.”
Outside of work, I’m a fully qualified PADI scuba diver, dog mum to a Cavapoochon called Nellie and a massive foodie who loves a good gin and tonic or mojito!
