"I help businesses create better products and services by putting customers at the heart of the design process."

I joined Foolproof as a graduate and over the last 10 years, I’ve worked with the likes of PlayStation, Adobe, HSBC, Heineken and Virgin Money on projects of all shapes and sizes. As an Experience Design Director, I’m responsible for leading projects with clients and helping to manage our Studio team.

I started my career as a researcher and have clocked up somewhere in the region of 1,000 – 2,000 hours of face-to-face interviews in over a dozen countries around the world. I’ve spoken to gamers in Saudi Arabia, multi-millionaires in Miami and accountants in a jeans factory in Mexico. This foundation in research has allowed me to see first-hand the importance of human-centred design.

On project work, I take a leadership role in mobilising and directing the team to deliver work that improves both the experience for customers and commercial outcomes for clients. I particularly enjoy experience strategy work and anything in the early stages of bringing a proposition to life.

When I’m not working on project work for clients, I help to run our Studio team. I’m responsible for how we find and hire the best practitioners in the industry, how we enable skills and careers development, and how we onboard new team members. I love being able to teach people new things and am a volunteer mentor outside of work with the UXPA.

In the last few years, I’ve also started to try my hand at conference speaking. Most recently, I gave the keynote at the Fintech Design Summit in New York, which you can watch online here.
